Troubleshooting Crashes After Adding Shaders

Isolate rendering conflicts and use Minecraft logs to investigate shader-related crashes.

Reproduce the problem safely

Use a copied instance and a disposable world when investigating a crash. Record whether it happens during startup, world loading or shader activation. That distinction helps you choose the next check and describe the issue clearly.

Test a minimal configuration

Remove optional rendering changes from the copied instance and keep only the documented requirements. If the game starts, add other mods back in small groups. Do not combine alternate renderers simply because they each work separately.

Read and share useful logs

Look at the latest log and crash report around the first relevant error. Include exact file versions and steps to reproduce when reporting a problem. Review logs for personal paths, server addresses or tokens before sharing them publicly.
